RANA - A motion portrait of Jack Murphy

Rana is a personal project I embarked in 2022, focussing on the mind and thoughtful pursuits of a friend of mine, Jacky Murphy.

Jack plays in the world of surrealistic photography and isn’t afraid of large 8x10 film sheets. As someone who also moves within the film world, I could appreciate Jack’s philosophy towards the medium against a fast-pacing landscape of short-form content.

I wanted to delve into Jack’s ‘why’ and more so, see him on the field working his magic.

I hope you enjoy this film as much as I did observe Jack do what he loves.
